The following students have been named to the Central Penn College Dean's List for the winter 2023 term.

For the first time in the college's 141-year history, the women's basketball team at Central Penn College (CPC) has received a bid to the USCAA National Championship Tournament.

Competing against students from college and universities across the state, Dylan Bowman of Central Penn College captured first-place honors in the sports photo category of the PA NewsMedia Association's 2023 Keystone Media Awards for students.

Three Central Penn College students have been named USCAA Soccer All-American, and goalie Andrew Hunter was named an Academic All-American. The college has never had a 1st team All-American in soccer before, said Kasey Hicks, Athletic Director for Central Penn College. In addition, two of the players who made the First Team All-American are first-year college students.

More than 70 Central Penn College students training for careers in medical assisting, phlebotomy, surgical technician, physical therapy assisting, and occupational therapy assisting were formally "pinned" in an evening ceremony in the college's Conference Center on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Twenty-five team members from the GIANT Company went through a different kind of check-out line at Central Penn College on November 9, 2022. They each finished their "shopping" excursion by filling up their cart with valuable management skills. Their graduation was held at Central Penn College's Conference Center, followed by a celebratory luncheon with family and friends, along with GIANT and college staff. The graduates completed the classes as part of the GIANT University Department Manager Business Academy, taught by Central Penn College faculty. This is the second class to graduate from the Academy.

Central Penn College Athletics introduces the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Central Penn College donated $100 to the charity of choice of this year's Homecoming King and Queen. Josh Sooy and Gabriela "Gabby" Perez were crowned Homecoming Royals. Donations were made in Perez and Sooy's name to The Trevor Project (Perez) and Four Diamonds (Sooy). Homecoming Court for 2022 includes Jeana Lower, Briana Riley, Amber Funk and Brian Strawhacker.

Tahniyaah Jackson received this year's Female Student Athlete of the Year Award. Several Central Penn College students were recently honored at the college's annual Athletics and Activities banquet. Awards were given to students and clubs in the categories of academics, athletics and community service.

Hassani Hussein Karemera was one of only 83 students statewide to be awarded a $3,000 Pennsylvania CPA Foundation scholarship as part of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Karamera is a first-generation college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting at Central Penn College in Summerdale, Pa. He is very involved in campus activities and is a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society.

Five Central Penn College student-athletes were recently recognized by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for their performances on and off the baseball diamond during the 2022 season.

The Central Penn College Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society recently inducted its newest members in a ceremony held at the Capital Blue Cross Theatre. Students can join the society by earning a 3.3 cumulative grade point average (3.5 for graduate students) and successfully completing 12 credits at Central Penn. Congratulations to these 36 students!
