Murray Ruggiero III receives a student excellence award from Central Penn College

Murray Ruggiero III, of Wallingford, Conn., received one of five student excellence awards presented at Central Penn College's 135th annual Commencement ceremony May 12. Ruggiero graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received the 2017 Outstanding Student Athlete award.

Ruggiero has been a mainstay with the baseball team for the past three years, as well as a student reporter for the Central Penn College Marketing and Communications Department. He was named a three-time USCAA Academic All-American, a first for the Central Penn Knights baseball team.
