2014 Jan 30

Jasmine Robinson, of Bethlehem, N.Y., a corporate communicatios student, was named the Central Penn College Athlete of the Month for November 2013.

Robinson's total team effort demands attention, especially with her amazing offensive capabilities. She is currently leading the USCAA in scoring with an average of 31.6 points per game. The senior is closing in on 2,000 career points and will surely obtain this milestone if she keeps up with her current average.

"It would be great to reach, but it's a team game and I don't focus on personal accolades," states Robinson when asked about the scoring record.

Robinson put in a lot of hard work over the off-season to prepare for this year's basketball season. She practiced her shooting technique daily at the local YMCA and participated in a women's summer league in Bethlehem, Pa. Robinson mentions that her scoring totals are the highest they have ever been during her career, and that her newfound leadership role amongst a team full of freshmen has helped drive her to exceed expectations.

During a hectic senior year Robinson attributes her motivation towards the love of the game.

"Basketball is my get away from school and everything else," says Robinson. "When I'm on the court, it's like nothing else in the world matters."
