Amanda Kloehr receives award from Central Penn College

Amanda Kloehr, of Enola, Pa., a Central Penn College corporate communications student, was awarded the C. Delores Tucker award for community service.

Kloehr speaks to local, national and regional groups on the dangers of distracted driving. Having experienced a car crash due to distracted driving, Kloehr has turned her personal tragedy into a motivating factor for herself and others. She has provided service to our country through the United States Air Force, and has maintained stellar grades during her tenure at Central Penn. Kloehr has been involved with the Public Relations club, Knight Writer club and has had literary work published in "The Central Pen."

Students are nominated by the faculty and staff of Central Penn College. Kloehr was one of four Central Penn students awarded for their outstanding performance in the areas of academic excellence, community service, leadership and character during the college's Feb. 26 Black History Month luncheon.
